Fees and Policy

Session Fee

Those who are not using insurance will be expected to pay the fee of $200 a session. If the Fee Feels Out of Reach, Dr. Kwoba offers a limited number of reduced-fee slots for individual therapy and caregiver education. If you are interested in exploring a reduced rate, please mention it before your first session. When available, these lower-cost options are offered for a limited number of sessions. Fees may be adjusted upward if your financial circumstances change. If a reduced-fee spot is not currently open, you may choose to be placed on a waitlist. Additional options—such as shorter or less frequent sessions—may also be considered, depending on your clinical needs. In some cases, Dr. Kwoba may recommend a referral to another provider whose services better fit your budget.

Documentation Fee

Any forms or letters that require my signature will be billed anywhere from $150 depending on the type of documentation required. This fee is applicable to use using insurance as well since insurance companies only allow me to bill for clinical client contacts and not administration or documentation.

Insurance Information

We are credentialed with Aetna, Anthem, Carelon, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare/Optum, Kaiser Permanente NorCal, Magellan, Medi-Cal and Medi-Care plans.
We accept most major credit cards. Clients using Out-Of-Network Benefits will be provided a "superbill" to provide to their insurance company for partial or full reimbursement of services rendered.

Privacy & Self-Pay Option

Choosing to self-pay for sessions allows you to have absolute privacy without having to submit anything to insurance. The frequency of how often you attend sessions, weekly or biweekly, is entirely in your hands.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please be sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.
