About Us

Compassionate Care for Mind and Community

Care Rooted in Compassion, Culture, and True Connection.

Rafiki Wange Mental Health Services Corporation was born from the belief that care should feel like kinship. “Rafiki Wange” meaning “My Friend” in Swahili and Luganda, is a mental health practice rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and connection.  Rafiki Wange provides accessible online psychotherapy services tailored to meet each client where they are. The name reflects my approach: therapy here isn’t just a service-it’s a relationship. With warmth, cultural sensitivity, and respect, I accompany you on your journey to healing. I believe care should feel personal, not clinical; empowering, not intimidating. Whether you're seeking care for yourself, a loved one, or looking to empower your community, I am here to walk alongside you, and I’d be honored to connect. Let’s take the next step together.

ABOUT ME

Blending Clinical Expertise with Culturally Rooted Care

Dr. Kwoba is a licensed clinical psychologist based in California whose work bridges clinical excellence with community-rooted empathy. Shaped by personal experiences and a deep understanding of the human spirit, I created Rafiki Wange as a safe and welcoming space, particularly for those whose voices have often been overlooked or misunderstood. Whether you are navigating life transitions, healing from trauma, or seeking clarity and support, Rafiki Wange offers a path forward grounded in empathy and clinical expertise.

Her practice is intentional, inclusive, and profoundly human—blending psychology and cultural wisdom to transform how care is experienced.  I am a compassionate and visionary leader, blending psychology and mental cultural empathy to transform mental health care. My mission is rooted in the belief that mental wellness is deeply connected to community and understanding. With a sharp eye for aesthetics and a deep respect for African heritage, the focus is not only on healing but also on the empowerment of individuals through a holistic and embracing approach.
